The European Chips Design Platform (EuroCDP) is a flagship initiative of the European Chips Act, designed to strengthen Europe's semiconductor industry by making chip design in Europe more accessible, cheaper and less complex. The platform is being developed by a consortium of 12 leading European organizations, coordinated by imec, and supported by the European Commission.
It is intended to serve as the hub of the European chip design ecosystem, bringing together companies, startups, researchers, service providers, investors, key mentors from the semiconductor sector, and research organizations. Fondazione Chips-IT is the Italian representative of the EuroCDP consortium, contributing to the coordination and implementation of the initiative and leading the activities related to venture programmes, training and mentoring.
